Speaker stands for people with kids and pets.

Hi,

We are looking at getting an AV amp and putting our bookshelf speakers on stands, only issue is that we have a daft cat, he is awesome but daft. Is it possible to have speakers on a stand while you have a special animal or do I just take the hit and not have them on stands (which would be easier but whatever kitteh).

Any suggestions welcome.

Ive got a small dog and has never knocked my stands. Even if she did they are filled with sand and would rock a small amount but be fine. I have bumped into them at the very top and they just rock alittle.

Get stands with a big core and fill it with sand or Atabytes (metal chips).

Then blutack the speaker to the stands.

no such thing as a kid proof speaker stand! I certainly wouldnt be worrying about a cat though

Sell them and get some wallmounts
