Hey guys

After wall mounting my TV and being so impressed with the look and feel it gave to the room, I've decided I'd like to do the same with my speakers

I've got a Tannoy 5.1 package, currently on floor stands. As seen below, with the two rear speakers on the same stands

I'd like something that is pretty discreet and will keep the speakers close to the wall, but also be sturdy enough. I can see loads on Richer Sounds but they are either speaker/brand specific or look like they are made for much lighter speakers.

Also, looking at the picture above, would you guys recommend mounting them to the wall in a similar position to where they are now? Or would it be ok to do them right in the corners?

Thanks for the advice as always :)

Bugger :D I got excited by the corner suggestion as that was what I was hoping for, but I had heard that it can affect sound quality.

it won't affect the sound quality of those speakers. if we are talking floor standers or bookshelf size i would move them away from the wall , agree about the height tho

EDIT ..reading that back it reads like i'm being detrimental to your speakers .. i'm not

Yes it will. Plot response graphs with them like that, and in the upper corners.

It will sound totally different, and in a bad way.

I wouldn't bother if you're not going to hide the wires (will look ugly?).
Plus are you not in a new build? Would be a bugger for placement finding the studs in the wall to mount to the wood rather than the plasterboard. Could mount to the plasterboard with proper fixings but then worry if the kid decides to pull it or you bump into it!

Cliffs: I think it looks neat/smart as it is!
