Hi guys, I am looking for speakers for a 32 inch bedroom TV as the sound is not so great as it's a slim led TV, Around the £60 mark stretching to £100.

Any suggestions? What would be better Speakers or a Sound bar?

Cheap soundbar will give you significant sound improvement. How much you actually pay is upto you. External speakers are fine if tv has ext speaker (std 2 core) feed though as it'll be controlled via you tvs actual remote.

Before looking at speakers versus soundboard you should check what outputs you have on the telly; it's no good buying any sort of additional audio device without knowing for sure that you can connect it to the TV.

The most common connection is Optical output. A headphone jack is probably second most common. Very few TVs have a dedicated audio out on red and white phono any more. If you have those sockets on the TV just check very carefully, they're probably marked "Audio IN" and that's not the same thing at all. I haven't seen any consumer TVs with speaker outputs in nearly a decade, so buying Hi-Fi speakers without some kind of amplifier to go with then is a complete waste of time.

It's a Samsung UE32D5000, It has Optical out along with headphone out also has the white/red audio cables.

I was looking on Ocuk for the Edifier range but it seems they don't have many options for those speakers anymore.
