Ok I know this subject has been done to death but I need help and advice, I have just purchased a Xonar DX and need a set of either 2.0's or 2.1's to finish things off I cant go amp and book shelf as I dont have the space.

For the 2.0 option im looking at the audioengine 2's im hoping somebody that reads this might have a pair and can tell me wht they are like or the other option is Lar's and Ivan BK-21's What Hifi really rates them but I have never even heard of the company.

For the 2.1 Option im looking at the Acoustic Energy Aego M as everybody says they are a great set of speakers or we have Lars & Ivan Samba S Bass 2.1 but cant even find a review of these and they sell for around £130, in a perfect world I would beable to find a pair of promedia 2.1s or swan m10's but we all know thats not going to happen.

So if anyone has experience of any of the above or has another suggestion and can share it with me it would be a great help

Thanks

If you are buying speakers for you're pc with gaming in mind the Acoustic Energy Aego's are your best bet as they have a subwoofer which will be better in gaming. But for music monitors would be a far more sensible choice seen as they have been designed with music in mind, i.e they will have separate tweeters, higher quality built in amplifier e.t.c

Unfortunaltely I can't help you with the monitors you mentioned, but hope this helps
