Speakers not working

Hi Guys

My friend said Her speakers aren't working.

I asked her to check Volume Control and that was all fine. She said they were working earlier.

I said wait until you boot up your machine again and check then and also check connections. They were fine.

She said that they were not working after loads of apps had been opened.

So could this be not enough RAM?

She likes games such as Sims 2, World of Warcraft.

Have her try uninstalling and then reinstalling her sound card.

Yep my sounblaster xi-fi has gone silent since windows update driver. Machine has lasted 18months so probably will rebuild anyway but just uninstall all the drivers, remove using device manager and reboot and load drivers
