Every time my fridge/freezer turns off my speakers pop, it's annoying. Is it damaging them or my computer when this happens?

These speakers are old from ebay but I had a pair exactly the same last year with no popping issues. I had to use a different power cord into them as they arrived with a broken one (the one i am using is from my old samsung monitor and is 3amp 250v).

My recent USB powered speakers did not pop but they are USB powered.

I am guessing that the problem is the fridge/freezer which is in a seperate room.

Should I buy an uninterruptible power supply? Buying a new fridge/freezer is not really an option as it still works fine and I rent so I would have to inform the landlord and I don't think he will replace it. But if it comes down to buying one of these should I be getting one that at least matches the wattage of my equipment as they don't seem to be very high wattages on these UPS's.

Sorry I thought this would be network related too I should have put it in General. I will contact landlord soon but still might buy a UPS as the electrics where I live are very old.

Thank you guys, my landlord is coming this week with an electrician I think to have a look at it.

Still thinking about purchasing a UPS. I didn't notice the speakers popping at all on my last speakers though so could it be the speakers them selves? The Fridge/Freezer is still obviously effecting them I guess.

Interference might not be going through the mains though - the amplification circuitry might be susceptible to picking up RF from something switching like the fridge.
So blaming the fridge freezer was unecessary? or only to a point? To be honest the fridge freezer is 8 years old and a newer one would be more energy efficient.

Babe amp with a decent power supply might resolve the situation.

Not ideal though as problem is the fridge.

Get a cheap set of pc active speakers as they usually have poor power supply so that will show its the fridge

The Fridge is being replaced this week, Got a new PSU anyway and just waiting for it to be fitted now.
