Speakers with headphone on volume control

Hi All

My wonderful Creative T7900s have served me very well for about 9 years..

The speakers and amp are still pretty good, but the headphone input on the volume control is knackered. I've taken it apart and faffed with everything to no avail..

Does anyone know of another set of £50-100 speakers (or cheaper!) that come with a volume control that has the headphone and mic 3.5mm inputs on it?

There are a few 5.1 sets with a wired control, but no 7.1 sets at all any more. I think the last 7.1 set was the T7900. Very little demand for 7.1, whether it be gaming or a home theatre system.

The 5.1 sets that do have a wired controller are from Creative. Looking at their current range of speakers, none of them have any headphone connection only volume control. Logitech have really been the only other company to offer a wired remote, but neither of their current sets have one.

Microlab and Edifier also do 5.1 sets, but none of their products have a wired remote.

I think you're out of luck and will probably have to look at other options.
