i'm after some tall thin silver, quality speakers to go either side of my 42'' lcd tv
any suggestions?????????????

What speakers do you already have? I suspect it's quite probable moving to thin speakers will actually be a downgrade in terms of sound quality at £200 budget. Engineering for good quality thin speakers doesn't come cheap.

More than £200 though, but thin speakers as mentioned above are a design compromise (have to use small drivers in a small enclosure) You did say "quality".

Tannoy fx 5.1 and other tiny sub-sat units will sound terrible.

Kef 5000,6000 & 9000. Don't buy Kef subwoofers though, they're not very good.
