guys quick question i see quite a few ppl on here useing hi fi speakers with there pc setups, could any one tell me how this is done or what i would need to achive this thanks.

It's quite simple. You just connect the line out of your soundcard using usually a 3.5mm jack plug into (usually the green socket depending on your soundcard), to your amplifier via rca phono plugs - (to one pair of the red and white sockets). You can connect it to any line input such as aux, cd, tape in etc. whichever is not being used. This is as long as you have a spare pair of sockets on your amplifier.

Search for a stereo 3.5mm to stereo phono cable. You can get them pretty much anywhere at very low cost but if you spend a few quid more and get a decent one you will get much better results.

This is only for a 2 channel stereo setup.

Depends on your soundcard and amp. Some have 3.5mm, others have stereo RCA jacks. So you might need RCA-RCA, 3.5mm to RCA, or 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable(s)
