Hello people,

Does anyone know of / use any decent 2.1 speaker set ups that:-
- Have a desktop remote
- Have a headphone AND Mic "plugs" on
- Look Nice
- Wont break the bank (say for under £100)

I've been looking around and i cant seem to find any....

I cant really have 5.1 due to the size/layout of the room that my pc is in.

If im thinking of getting a new Soundcard, would i be correct in assuming that sound cards have a Mic In socket aswell?

Thanks

Adam

The best 2.1 for around £100 is the AE Aego M's these sound brilliant and look quite good too.
However they don't have a mic jack, or i think a headphone jack. You can easily solve this problem with a plantronics headphone switch.

hey, thanks for the advice on the speakers :D

I've been looking at headphone switch, would it work with 2.1? seems to good to be true @ under £10 lol, whats the catch?

do sound cards have a mic in connection lol, silly question i know :p

Thanks

There isn't a catch :p

The sub in a 2.1 system feeds off the left and right channels so it will be fine. Oh and yes, sound cards do have mic inputs (onboard and pretty much every 3rd party card)

Niiiice,

I'll be sure to get one ordered :D:D
*Edit 09/02/09 @ 21:53* just ordered one :D

Thanks a lot :D

Gona get the Asus Xonar DX 7.1 PCI-Express Sound Card to go with it :D

thanks for ur replies people :D

another vote for the AEGO .

great sound

looks arnt everything, esepcially with speakers .. sounds is far more important

thats what i ended up ordering :D

they looked nicer than the AEGO things :p
What a shame, the AM's are brilliant sound quality for the money. The logitech, while 'looking better' will sound considerably worse.

I honestly thought you'd got the AM's from your post earlier but hey.
