So after buying a ''Ulima Dreadnought'' from OcUK i had to return due to damages, i decided to build my own PC using a Overclocked Bundle (As the reason i didnt build my own in the first place was due to not know how to overclock)

So my budget is roughly £1,500 pounds, give or take £100 or so.

The PC is mainly for Gaming, World of warcraft, Starcraft, Call of Duty, GTA IV, Fallout 3 / New Vegas, Crysis and other games + Future games. At the same time as Listening to music, watching videos, browsing the net etc.

I Really need atleast 120GB SSD, additional 1TB HDD and i prefer Nvidia cards over ATi (Just a personal thing from many years ago lol)

So what kind of system would i get for my money?
Also buying a bundle is a must for me, i dont want to really try overclocking myself lol.

Thanks for reading.

Sorry £20 ~ over :)

How about this mate:

edited build to include win 7 and removed monitor, added two 470's instead of one 480.

wow thanks for the quick replies, i forgot to mention;

Yup i need my windows 7
Dont need monitor or any accessories.

sorry for forgetting that..

*EDIT*

Also is it worth buying it sepperate? Doesnt seem like im saving much compaired to buying a pre-built ''Ultima dreadnought'' but shipping it to me seemd to have been what damaged it. After getting a repaired system (GPU failed) it was shipped to me in bits, CPU cooler pretty much fell off in transit, bending it and damaging other components. Do you think OcUK will pack the inside for me to stop this?

Here just a tad over includes sli 460

Let me know what you think

Edit: Change SSD for the bigfoot mentioned above then it is under budget

i would go for monkey's spec ande swap some things like
case to a 690 ii lite/advnced
psu to quality 850w to allow future sli
add windows 7 64bit oem
and maybe swap the dvd drive for a blu ray drive
and viola!

so its not really Monkey's spec anymore. lol

Zaim's is faster, and includes win7

All specs are looking good but what's best to have?

1 x GTX 480 or
2 x GTX 460 / 470

Also what's the benefit of blu-ray writer ATM? I don't use blu-ray apart from a player and ps3 so could probs scrap that for awesome quality DVD one?

Still unsure if I'd be better to build or buy pre-built with the amount I'd save, any advice?

Thanks!

its better to have 2 GTX470/460 than one GTX480.

you also got more for your money if you build it yourself.

You can drop the Blu-ray player and for a standard dvd rw.

Build one, you never go back :)
Plenty of people will help here if needed :)

But still strongly recommend what Zaim has posted, he nailed this spec first and with money left over for a game to play on this new beast.

I'm on my phone ATM so checking all specs in detail is going to have to wait till later or my eyes will be done lol.
But ok, 2x 470 is what I'll aim for.
120gb bigfoot SSD
Also why full version of win 7 insted of OEM?
Also any idea where I can find outer dimensions of this cm690 case?

And I Have to say, I'm impressed with the amount of help and replies I have gotten!

Oh btw, these processor bundles, they overclocked as soon as you put them together?

Thank you all very much!!!

with the retail version of win7 you can use it in another build, OEM is locked to the motherboard.

I wouldnt buy the retail version of win7 as by the time you need to seriously upgrade the pc, win10 or something will be out and make win7 look archaic.

the overclocked bundles have the bios settings neeed for the overclock stored in a user profile within the bios, just load this setting and your at the claimed speed.

So what do you think of this;

sorry for image being a bit small!
