Id lean towards kennys for the improved gfx card, for gaming that will do much better
Id of included this asus mobo though, both are compatible with the new AM3 chips though so your mate could drop in a better CPU later if he needed
Oh and he missed a case, lol, the 335 from other 2 is good budget case
