Spec £800 laptop & desktop

My friend is wanting a new desktop or a laptop..

He has £800 for a WHOLE desktop PC. Including mouse, keyboard and monitor.

And also in a laptop just the laptop.

Could you please spec a laptop and a desktop for the odd bit of gaming (Football Manager and maybe COD3 occasionally), general use and movies.

I was thinking along the lines of a desktop replacement laptop (17" etc).

Any ideas?

Again, PC is a WHOLE desktop. Everything included.

Budget can be extended IF needed.
