Spec a £450 PC for a friend

Hi

A friend of mine is looking for a good PC for gaming & music use, so a big HD and decent soundcard are a must. He's hopefully going to buy my X800GT02 and has a Plasma screen as a monitor (lucky git) so is looking for a case, mobo, processor, memory, psu etc.

Is this enough dosh for a decent system, or should I tell him to get saving?

No, the £450 would not be including the gfx card, but I am doing him a good price on it!

He basically needs the tower without the gfx & he likes the look of the shuttle systems.

He already has monitor, keyboard & mouse.

I don't think a Shuttle is worthwhile for the price as you would have to spend around half the budget on the barebones. This is still a small case and all the component parts are good, I'm making the assumption here that your X800GTO2 is PCI-E.
