Spec a cheapish gaming laptop

Currently have a decent desktop for most of my gaming, but am going over friends etc and looking at getting a decentish laptop so I can play games like Eve, Homeworld2, CoD 4 etc

Im not fussed about AA/AF

Budget is about £600 ish. I dont care if it has Vista on it

So what would people recommend?

£600 will get you a very nice Dell Vostro 1500 with a GeForce 8600m GT - that'd perform very nicely.

On the Dell site they're in the business section, the fourth 1500 there is the best value. £550 (inc vat and delivery) will get you a very nice Vostro 1500 with 2.4 C2D, 1440*900 15.4" screen, 3 GB, Vista or XP, 250 GB HDD, 8600M GT 256mb DDR2, 6 cell battery. There's £50 off and free delivery at the moment too, although those offers end on the 12th.

The purple shirts are doign a similar Dell for £650 (2Ghz, 2GB, 250GB, 1280x800 (1520dsgi I believe) so that might be an idea if you cant get a good deal direct from Dell.

fish, just specced that one up myself, dam good price, that, will see in the next week or so, I know there offers are due to end, but can still get good deals if you ring them up though
