A friend is looking for a PC to play some newer games on (cities currently but will likely pick up other stuff). Currently has a 2013 mac laptop but wants something to play games on. Been looking at gaming laptops but these are so expensive and you don't get anything that fantastic for your money compared to a desktop. HOWEVER, she lives in NL and will want to travel to the UK for some LANs held by a small community we are part of. A laptop would be good for allowing her to do this but looking at the size of some of these microatx cases they would fit hand luggage it appears?
Firstly, could someone spec a microatx build including monitor/kb/mouse, has to be small and compact. Budget is £1000, sorry forgot to add that. She wouldn't need to take the monitor and the kb/mouse with her to lan just the base unit, someone else can lend her the other stuff.
Secondly, anyone know if it is possible to stick a small desktop PC as hand luggage? If she was to travel to the lan someone else could lend her a kb/mouse/monitor for the weekend so long as she has the base unit.
