Howdy,

A friend of mines got a Q8400 (I think) processor.

And hes using a 9800GTS lol. old school, and hes looking for a upgrade. something around double the performance or more, budget of 50-60 quid, he wants to stay NVidia though :o

but aye, any sugguestions? not a NVidia guy my self so don't know what would be best.

Also, he does a lot of 3d rendering and stuff like that, so might be worth noting, so guessing more memory the better?

cheers

also worth noting, he doesn't know what psu hes got yet, but he has a 9800GTS in, didn't they use a two 6 pin pci-e connectors? or one 8 pin one 6 pin?

Hes gonna crack his pc open tmorro and av a look.

Cheers

hes got a Alpine JSP-600P12N 600w psu, cant find much info on it, but from the picture he sent hes using a molex to 6pin connector as it doesn't have pci-e power connectors.

so whats the best NVidia card for a 60 quid budget?

cheers
