Still not sure about which mobo to get, these are specs:

Max price 130-ish quid.
Support for Intel Duo E6400 and/or AMD Athlon X2 4200. (Not decided on CPU yet; price when i order will make it.)
PCI-E for current X1900 card, but Crossfire compatable for future upgrade.
Onboard audio.
Be able to run standard floppy + 2 CD drives + 2 IDE Drives + Potential SATA drive.
Support DDR2-800 RAM.

Think that's about it. There are a couple of boards that meet this spec but i'm not really sure what i'm looking for in a board.

If you dont know what are you looking for how can we help you?

Gigabyte Ds4,DQ6 or Asus P5W DH Deluxe will meet your criteria quite well

Have a loot at the Abit AW9 Max if you dont need more than 1 pci slot because thats what you are left with 2 gfx cards in crossfire

1: go for the INTEL conroe processor not the amd.
2: go for the asus dh dulux wifi mobo like in the post above

:)

Your choices become very limited if you insist on more than two PATA drives. The Asus P5W DH Deluxe will supports four PATA drives but IMHO is a fudge as it uses three separate RAID controllers - Intel, JMicron and SI. Come down to two PATA drives then the DS4 is an excellent choice but I am biased....

Conroe is really the only sensible CPU choice these days.

PATA Drives? Being IDE Drives? Or what?

Edit.

I know what i require from the board, but don't know the ups and downs of the nitty gritty of a board, so i could do with input.

ds4 only has one ide port

Yup, got the DS4 here, used the IDE for my DVD drives, so i couldn't use my 2x IDE Hard Drives, as i had 2x IDE DVD Drives, and 2x IDE Hard Drives on my old A64 rig, so had to buy a new SATA Hard Drive due to there only being 1x IDE. :)

Cruddd. NOT good. Can't afford upgrade + SATA Drives.

MSI 975X Platinum PowerUP Edition (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

As far as i can tell from the image, that has two IDE ports.

- Support LGA775 Intel Core™ 2 Processors - Cpu requirement
- Support 1066/800/533 MHz FSB - ?
- Support DDR2-800/667/533 - RAM Requirement
- 2 PCI Express x16& 2 PCI Express x1 slots - PCI-E for X1900 plus potential Crossfire update requirement.
- Support ATi CrossFire Technology - Crossfire requirement
- 4+1 SATA2 3Gb/s Support RAID - SATA potential update requirement.
- Support 7.1 Channel Dolby MS HD Audio - Onboard audio requirement.
- Support Intel® PRO Gigabit LAN - ?

Anything about this board that might not be up to scratch for whatever reason?
