Ok, sister wants a PC, and she's prepared to part with £300.. I know it's a not a lot, I told her that so she told me that it's ok if it goes slightly above £300 but no more than £400 really.

So I thought to myself.. I'd ask you lot, as you seem to be the best as this budget thing :p

So yeah.. PC for internet and music.. nothing else really.

Get speccin'!

(P.S Thanks)

Assuming that the system box is all that is required then this would do, under budget so there are areas that could be improved if necessary. If you need a full PC then barebones will give you the best chance of doing it.

dont bother with the cheaper ram as ddr2 800 is only a pound or so more, the only things you need to decide is what gpu to use and how much storage is needed.

well if internet and music is all she needs than why not get laptop, it comes with everything and u can hook it up to bigger screen if 15" not enuff, check for speaker quality tho u can always use external speakers as the onboard sound will be pretty much same as u get on pc mobos
you can find dual core laptops on offers for around £300
