Spec a sub £500 100% solid state pc

No moving parts at all please, 100% solid state no fans at all. But thanks for the info, as long as the mb is fanless, I just need to swap out the ps and the cpu cooler.

Cheers

Steve

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £524.15 (includes shipping: £12.30)

Take the case fan out, use the CPU cooler passively. No moving parts.

best performer
probably southernorth's build as it has the highest clocked processor, but again, unless you're heavy-duty number crunching, they all should perform similarly on day-to-day tasks

most robust
again, about the same,
now i don't know how good southernorth's and danny75's coolers are without the fans though.
might need a quick google to see how they perform for passive cooling, but regardless, pentium and celerons are lower power chips

Even a Hyper 212 is good without fan for ~60W. Some have even run ~70W chips like that although that gets a bit toasty. The Pentium and Celeron are ~50W. Went for a better cooler (and with more spread like the Genesis) because there'll be no case airflow without case fans.

If you want a good fanless CPU cooler, you want the Nofan CR-95C, which does not need case fans to make it work.

Yeah that’s a great cooler, but I need to. Are a budget silent pc for me bro so the 80 is probs good enough.

I advise against buying the CR-80. It will gradually work its way loose because the different parts are made of different materials and expand differently.
