Hi folks, been lurking here for a while and thought it only right to introduce myself.
I'm Scott, 35 and from Scotland (now living south of the border ). I have 3 PC's at the moment which all serve a purpose.

No1. HP G6000 laptop (AMD 64X2 proc) in std spec.
No2. A Dell Dimension 2400 in std spec
No3. A self built system based on a (then new) Chaintech Ultra Zenith 7NJS with an Athlon XP1800, 512Mb, 10GB Maxtor Diamondmax Plus(?)HDD, Chaintech GeForce2 MX400 64Mb Graphics card.

I now have a 2-prong goal. Firstly I'm on the lookout for an Athlon XP3200 and a couple of GB's of RAM to upgrade No3 along with a much better 8x AGP card and a bigger HDD. Hopefully this will bring it up to a more respectable level for an Athlon XP-based system. With the apparently legendary overclocking capabilities of the 7NJS board I'm looking to make my first steps into overclocking on this one. Anyone know what the 3200's stable limit is?? With them having been out for a while I would think this would be well known by now??

The next plan is to build the following to use as a predominantly FSX rig but also looking to get into some decent FPS with it...

MSI 790FX-GD70 Mainboard
AMD PhenomII 940 Black
8gb DDR3 RAM
Coolermaster UCP 1100W PSU
Antec 902 case
Either; 2 x Barracuda 750Gb SATA HDD's RAID
or 1 x Western Digital Velociraptor 300gb HDD
LG GGC-H20L Blu-Ray Drive
An ATI Radeon HD4870 X2 (manufacturer not decided upon yet)

Thats the plan then. Just need to wait for MSI to get their fingers out then decide on HDD's and Graphics card. Anyone recommend a decent memory manufacturer?? Also any advice on my WD vs Seagate HDD dilemma would be appreciated.
