Hey guys i made a post a couple of weeks back asking for a spec for around £600(will go to 650). This is the current build I will be going for but I need some advice on what PSU to go for coz the original one that I would be choosing is out of stock atm.

Also please point out if there is anything that can be improved on the current build.

The RAM, CPU and cooler are great.

I would suggest you get a motherboard that can do synchronous crossfire/SLI like this.

Also, with the 5870 at a crazy price - that is the card to have if you are buying right now.

As for thermal paste, I would suggest going for this instead of AS5, there is no curing time.

As for a PSU, I would suggest going for this one - high quality and enough power for a dual card arrangement in the future.

However, please bear in mind there are quite a few new releases coming up. The 6900 cards are arriving next week and Intel's next generation "Sandy Bridge" CPUs and CPUs and motherboards will be arriving on January 2011.

I would upgrade the mobo to a Asus 6X58D-E which has a much better chipset.
For PSU an Antec TruePower New Modular 650W Power Supply both excellent products.
cheers
