OK lads
from some advice from the forum members in my last post i was going to go for the Asus P8P67 PRO. and her in doors said she would pay for it
but the problem was she went out today shopping and came back with
an asus p8z68-v pro but am sorry to say oc UK she didn't get from yous (am sorry)without going into detail argument i had with the wife
what would your views about this board upon reading it seems to be OK
for now i am stuck with it so am going to go for K chip and i need some advice on memory looking at the spec i can go up to ddr3 2200oc so what make of memory would be good for this set up and what would be a good cooler(CPU)

thx

ok
this is what am thinking off
2500k
p8z68-v pro
4gb corsair xms3 ddr3 -12800c9 1600mhz kit
windows 7 64
Corsair Hydro H70 High-Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
ssd drive size not sure yet and then my 300gb rapter
shapphire 1gig 5870
all fitted in Cooler Master HAF 922 Case
only going to use it for gaming and the normal stuff
with this set up am only going to use the on board oc system as i am not yet clued up to overclock it the other way.
so if i do this way what sort of o/c speed would i get compared to o/c the other way if you know what i mean?

thx lads

I have all of these.
The ASUS AI Suite II had 2 AutoTune options.
Fast - 4.2Ghz
Extreme - 4.4Ghz

The only difference between the quick options and manually doing it is that the AI Suite is more likely to add a bit more voltage to the CPU, even if it isn't needed.

Edit: if you want to go water, then this cooler is the best for its ££: Antec Kúhler H2O 620 CPU Watercooler
