Evening all,

Finally time for me to take the plunge with a new PC, been putting it off waiting to see what was round the corner (yes I know.. :D). Done this a few times and had various help but now is the time to finally get one. I've got a budget of around £3k to spend so want a monster.

PC will be used for gaming and work, do a lot of graphics work, photoshop etc. Going to be gaming on a single monitor but at some time in the future I will be going 27" or 30". FPS, the usual.

I'll be quite honest I'm not sure about half of this, bit out of touch with all the latest and greatest so took a "that's expensive so must be good" approach at times haha! is the board/mem/cpu combination ok? Would want to get a good overclock.

Put together this in the basket:

- OcUK Tech Labs King Mod Inno3D GeForce GTX Titan OC HerculeZ X3 Ultra
- Intel 4930K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge-E) Socket LGA2011 Processor - Retail (BX80633I74930K)
- Asus Rampage IV Extreme Black Edition Intel X79 (Socket 2011) DDR3 Motherboard
- Corsair Professional Series AX1200 High Performance 1200W Modular '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply (CMPSU-1200AXUK)
- Avexir Core Blue Series 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-21000C11 2666MHz Quad Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U26661104G-4CI) - Blue Light
- Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW)
- Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW)
- Corsair Obsidian 750D Full Tower Case - Black (CC-9011035-WW)
- Corsair Hydro H100i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060009-WW)
- Seagate Barracuda 3TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST3000DM001) HDD
- OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black)

SSDs would be in RAID 0, is this worth it as in actual performance I will see or would I be better going for the 500gb one?

Graphics card im open to suggestions, ideally want a single GPU set up to begin with, had AMD for years and moving from crossfire as sick of niggles and microstutter so fancy an Nvidia card. Saw the new AMD ones but from reading on here they are of similar performance to the Nvidia latest and greatest?

Looked at the MSI GeForce GTX 780 Lightning 3072MB as saw Titan/780 performance isnt too far apart, would I be better going down this route than the Titan up there? Not against adding another card in further down the line should it warrant it.

Any alternatives or better options greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ash
