Spec Check ~£500 gaming PC

PC for Daughter's Birthday. She plays Lego games and Minecraft but wants something that will last as she moves into later games. I have a 1080p Monitor and a SSD to put in it.

What do you think? Could I get better if I built it myself?

The price seems right. You'd only save about £50 building it yourself. Maybe less.

Of course, that could be used on a 380 or 960 4GB.

But my guess is by the time she needs something more powerful than a 950, it'd have been better not to spend extra on 380/960 just now, and buy a more current card then.

You could also drop to an i3-6100 (don't think the difference will be noticed) and a cheaper case, and free up £50 in so doing, to get the slightly better GPU while still having OcUK build and support it.

I have put that case in as she can pick a colour and she is still at that age where that matters. What about the below? Cheaper CPU better graphics?
