Ahoy thar
Its been almost 4 1/2 years since I last asked for a spec here - the one that was given to me worked like a charm and has been going well ever since (thanks again!).
But its getting waaay too old now and needs to be replaced, so I guess I need your advice once again for a new tower
Heres what I have currently (old I know!):
• Athlon 64 3700 San Diego Retail
• Asus A8N-SLi Premium
• Corsair TwinX 3200 2x1GB DDR Ram
• Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB
• Maxtor 6L300S0 DiamondMax 300GB
• Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB
• Hiper 580W Type-R Modular
• Antec SLK3000B Case
The bits in red are the things that I believe will need to be replaced.
My keyboard, mouse, dvd drive, speakers and monitor are all fine for the moment, so no need to replace them.
Both of my hard drives are getting on a bit, but I don't see any real need to replace them, and although I'll probably need a new/2nd graphics card fairly soon, its currently not a priority for this spec.
My case however does need a change - preferably for something that is quieter and easier to clean (the one I've got now is very loud, and gets very dusty, very quickly!).
My budget for this tower is £600 (including vat), which I would be willing to go over by £100 max.

But at the moment I'm unsure of everything - the power supply (will 650W be enough? what if I want to go SLi?), the case (will it be be quiet / big enough?), the processor (is it worth going i7 right now?), the motherboard (never had any experience with Gigabyte before...).
So any advice / suggestions / ideas are very welcome and would be appriciated! If its of any help, I mainly use my PC for gaming and 3D design/rendering work.
