I'm looking at building a new gaming rig so I've put together the following spec, any suggestions on components that can be bettered or swapped ideally without spending more money.

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail £154.99 (£182.11)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (ST3500630AS) £63.99 (£75.19)
Asus P5K-E WiFi Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard £94.99 (£111.61)
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) £44.99 (£52.86)
Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case £61.99 (£72.84)
Sub Total : £420.95

Shipping : £10.95
VAT is being charged at 17.50% VAT : £75.58
Total : £507.48

I think my current PSU will be OK, although i need to check and I'm undecided about what gfx card to go for but it will be either a 8800GTS or GTX finance depending. I've also no idea what is a good cpu cooler these days, so any suggestions there would be great.

Arctic Pro's not a bad cooler, but may limit your o/c a little. Take a look at the Tuniq Tower, or Noctua or ThermalRight offerings.
