I'd like to build the ultimate PC for sensible money. I'm defining that as quiet, bags of all round performance and all in for under £1000.

I'm planning to put the following in a Fractal R5 Case and I already have a Corsair 500W PSU. That leaves about £800 for the build. How's this...?

1 x Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor - OEM £179.99

If you have 1k to spend i would get a better GPU apart from that it looks ok, overclocking at the moment is dead the amount of extra performance in real terms (day to day) has been diminished so far as to only make pushing it to the limit the remit of benchers.
if you can afford it i would upgrade to the I7 aswell...im not a spec expert many here are but for 1k i would get at least an I7 and 970 in there L:)
