Hi guys, had this Built up for me and was wondering whether it's a decent rig? I'm on a tight budget and so I don't expect the greatest but hey, what do you think? Am I using my money to it's full potential and what kind of Games\framerates can I expect to get? Thanks -brad

On a side-note; that rig isn't really that good! The graphics card is poor also.

No the rig in your original post is a decent budget rig. I meant the one you linked too from the competitor site was poor.

It's a 720p LG 32 inch tv lol

Well thats only 1280×720 which is low compared to the average 1920x1080.

So the GFX card wont even struggle.

But will this also mean the graphics look bad? And will I be able to run modern games on high smoothly?

At the resolution its doubtful you'll ever see FPS drop below 60 on Ultra on most games

Looks nice enough on my xbox! I didn't think this pc would play games at max even though it is only 720p and to be honest I'm glad it is should be good. Just need to get saving now!

P.S To save people posting, I have already suggested windows 8 DE to "save £80" to improve the spec to an ivybridge i3 and purchase the OS a few months down the line.

Haha I'm sorry Thought I'd check with everyone else because I know jack **** and so even if you told me a 1980's build I probably wouldn't recognise haha. Thanks a lot though mate and are I3 processors any good?

I'm just teasing. Infact I would think you a fool if you bought something just because some random dude online said it was ok and you didn't research it.

Yes the i3 2220 would be better but it's hard to get one and the OS in the spec for £500. I do like to try and use a Z77 mobo alongside the G840 CPU if I can. Mainly because the CPU has a decent amount of poke but on the Z77 mobo you could drop in a quadcore i5K much later (2nd hand one perhaps) and overclock it. The H61 mobo I have used doesn't allow overclocking, that particular H61 mobo does have USB3 and Sata3 which is rare on that chipset.

I'm sorry if this confuses you, just know that I do think these things through and dont just spec random stuff lol
