I plan on building my first system soon so looking for some help.
Always wanted to go sandybridge but decided I may as well go Ivybridge now.
Here is the spec I have come up with. -
YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £184.99
1 x Corsair Graphite 600T Midi Tower Case - Limited Edition White £145.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £112.99
1 x Corsair Enthusiast Series TX750M High Performance 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply (CP-9020003-UK) £99.98
1 x Samsung 128GB SSD 830 Series SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive - (MZ-7PC128B/WW) £89.99
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-02050) £83.99
1 x Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CML16GX3M2A1600C10) £74.99
1 x Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103SJ / ST1000DM005) £67.99
1 x LG GH24NS90 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £18.98
Total : £896.40 (includes shipping : £13.75).
My budget is as cheap as you can get maintaining a decent spec for all games at 1080p.
If there is anything I should change or there is better options out there please let me know.
I have been offered a pair of 6970's to run in xfire by a friend, I did plan on going 670 windforce but a pair of 6970's at a steal price seems too good to pass on.
I also dont mind changing case to a cheaper one, I want one with good air flow and a decent size and the ability to add new fans easy enough.
Also a couple of questions -
What psu to run 2 cards? 650, 700 750w?
Should i be concerned about temp issues?
Thanks
