I have finally decided to do a proper upgrade. Having looked at the halfway house methods (Asrock etc.), I have decided to retire my P4, AGP system. (My Dad`s buying it 
)
After browsing and searching these boards for a while, I have come up with the following:
I figure that this should get me started. I can always add another HD, and and maybe a sound card at a later date.
Most of these parts come highly recommended via these boards. I picked the ASUS mobo, simply because my P4PE has never missed a beat. I know the Gigabyte boards are popular, but there did not seem much between them.
Gfx, I just prefer branded cards.
Memory, I did not have a clue. The Geil just seemed too good to miss.
Any thoughts, opinions would be greatly appreciated.
