It wasn't sarcasm!

The last motherboard I bought came with rounded cables so I was a little shocked one this price didn't... added them anyway....

And after all your help you are far far far from apologising for misunderstanding me!


I think I'm really tempted by the 6600 now.... wooops

If going 2 optical drives, make them both DVD±R/RW. Had a DVD-ROM & hardly ever used it. Even took it out & sold it

The spec looks good except the total cost. IMHO, I think you can scale down to something cheaper but still fast/good performer

I was going to use the DVD solely for playing dvds and it this has overworked/killed the dvdrws I have in the past as I have some badly scratched vcds.

The spec looks good except the total cost. IMHO, I think you can scale down to something cheaper but still fast/good performer

Any immediate suggestions on how to scale it down before I buy?

I know such a statement is riddled in false hope, but I'd like a system future proof for 4 years....
