Spec check before ordering

Just wanted to run this past the experts before ordering for my bro. It mostly is for some light gaming and photoshopping.

I will hopefully be swapping the 470 for my 5850. Is the 5850 comparable to the 470 in terms of performance?

I do a fair bit of flight simming and think the nVidia cards will be better than the ATI.

I assume any optical drive will do the job?

I am aware the case is pre-order. I have the R2 myself and it's a great case so I think I will go with what I know. Any other similar case recommendations?

Thanks for link on cards - 5850 runs FSX fine but I think there are some FSX specific issues that are less severe with nVidia so I'm sure moving to a card of similar spec would be fine.
 
I'd change the case to a CM 690 II Advanced, buy the i3, MB, RAM and HSF seperately to save money and change the optical drive to this, saving you some cash which you could put towards a Twin Frozr 470 which will allow much bigger overclocks, will run cooler and quieter.

The bundle is already clocked to 4.20 so I don't think I'd get any more than that. I don't know how to OC myself so the bundles are handy.

Not too bad looking a case - must check it out.
