Well, this is the first time I've ever put a rig together and I want to have your thoughts on it, my budget is, I think, £980 I won't be over clocking but will be gaming, a lot, is the following ALL I need? I don't need an OS (got a spare xp sitting here :p) or keyboard and mouse.

Cheers :p

Changed to the akasa 62 and the asus p5n-e, thanks to you both for the insanely quick reply, saved me a few quid too.

Nope I won't be overclocking, don't know how to, and don't want to risk wrecking anything. :p

Although, if I do need some extra cooling, what would you recommend? I'd prefer something quiet, but after you've lived with an xbox 360 for 6 months noise doesn't really matter that much. :D

Well all the parts came yesterday and I spent a few hours putting it together, I was able to push it and get the 8800gtx instead of the gts, and I got the asus p5n-e mobo, anyway, I have a problem, probably because It's my first time putting something together but yeah, it powers up and everything but nothing shows on screen, anyone got any ideas? I also took my 7800gtx from my old alienware and shoved it in to see if it was a faulty graphics card, but it wasn't.

Specs are as follows just to make sure:
BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC 768MB
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
Akasa Eclipse 62 Aluminium Case
Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2
GeIL 2GB PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz
Pioneer DVR-112DBK 18x18 DVD±RW
Asus P5N-E SLi nForce 650

I'll try that, if it works, what do I do after that so I can use the other stuff?

Edit: tried, didn't work, I rang my dad so he's going to come round, hes built more computers than hes had hot dinners. :p
