Hi guys,

Just need some advice on the final spec list for a friends new build. The only thing I'm unsure about is the heatsink. We were possibly thinking of one of the Corsair Hydro's?

If I could have some help with final compatibility checks as well it would be great.

Thanks for your response.

The only problem with the RAM/Mobo is I think he likes what I have already picked. We went through it together. What's better about the EVGA PSU?

Also do you have any advice on heatsinks?

Thanks!

EVGA PSU is made by superflower which is the best brand going right now, super solid and stable and is has enough power for a 2nd GPU in the future. It also comes with 10 years of warranty.

IF you don't need the extra power the current PSU you specced is just fine. Also do you have a budget in mind, the heat sink you picked is fine but you could get better at a price.

Not sure how things are now but a friend recently got a H100i and the link software doesn't work on Windows 8.1 so you don't have any control over it. Otherwise I would recommend it, super easy to install and good performance.

Yeah im sure of of the Dons on here said that the it was superb on win 7 but garbage on win 8. cant remember if he had found a solution to it or not in the thread.

There's a registry edit that is on the Corsair forums I think, but it's hassle you don't really need. I recommend the 1250 from Antec shown earlier up ^ or the Corsair H105 as there's none of that Corsair Link malarkey going on
