spec looks good, msi gd70 790fx mobo or gigabyte 790fx ud5 , both will do x fire and both get good reviews, why u not goin for ddr3 memory? its just as cheap as ur ddr2 that u spec d !

DDr3 is what goes in those 2 boards, i got ddr3 ram latest gigabyte mobo , amd720, and compared 2 my first build goes like a dream

budget? And I do believe intel is a bit faster than AMD for integer calculations in other words stuff like encoding/decoding etc, number crunching pretty much

for gaming its a lovely system:)

for the AM3 mobo, I would get ethoir a crosshiar 3 I know rather expensive only £10 more than the mainstream asus http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-339-AS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1481 or this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-231-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1481
