Been given the go ahead to build my own pc at work.
Was wondering if you could help me have a look etc as I have been out of the oc for sometime now^^*winks

Intel Core Duo E6400
Asus P5W DH Deluxe
Geil 2GB pc6400 DDR2
Seagate Barracuda SATA2 250GB
Antec Sonata 2 with 450W PSU
Scythe ninja Plus

Will get the rest cheap of ebay or something. Was wondering if there is any recommendations or etc as I heard allendale works better with 965 chipsets and that the conroe is more suited for the 975? Thanks

A Gigabyte DS3 is probably better for overclocking a 6400 than the Asus motherboard although I don't know if that is a consideration for a work PC? The rest looks fine, just make sure the Seagate is a 7200.10 model(I don't even know if you can get a 250gb drive as anything but now). :)

Yeah, will be ocing a little *winks

Will the Scythe infinity work on it?

Also will 2 sata2 work in a raid 0 config?

Thanks

Sorry I don't know about the heatsink, I'd guess it probably will but maybe the Scythe website will tell you?

You could use the SATA drives for Raid0 but do bear in mind that it isn't the most reliable or secure method of data storage so if it is important work(or indeed for any use) you should have a good backup strategy in place.

I was of the thinking E6300 is a better overclocking chip than the E6400?

No GPU or does the mobo have onboard?
