I've decided to be a little impulsive and get my computer on finance instead of waiting god knows how long. So I just thought I'd better get some final opinions before I pull the trigger, think I'll sleep on it anyway just to make sure.

CPU: i5-2500k
MOBO: Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB, 1600mhz
GPU: Gainward GeForce GTX 580 1.5gb
SSD: OCZ Agility 3 60GB
HDD: Barracuda 1TB, 6gb/s
PSU: OCZ Z-Series 850W
Optical: OcUK 22x DVD±RW
Cooler: OcUK H²Flo Extreme Liquid Cooler
Case: Coolermaster HAF X

And a cheap Phillips 22" 1080p monitor.

I would switch out the gskill for the corsair vengance blue unless it offends your color scheme. The gskill is good ( i have 16 gig of it) but is overpriced at OCUK (cmon guys)

Drop the sli 570 for a Gainward GeForce GTX 580 "GOOD Edition" 1536MB £359:99 No problems with sli not working or any other sli issue. Use the money saved to buy a 120gig SSd like the
Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive £139:99 or get a better monitor like the Dell ultrasharp 23" or the LG 23" professional.

Thanks guys, I'll definitely keep the mouse and keyboard in mind.

Thanks for the help on the build, I'll definitely switch out the HDD (looked for a Barracuda but missed it somehow), and the optical. But the cpu and mobo come in a bundle as do the case, psu and cooler.

Also, the Gainward 570 is the one I had my eye on. and that was the monitor I meant. :)

going my way you get a better cooler (the OcUK one is the corsair H80, it comes with WAY better fans) a more energy efficient modular PSU and the same case for only £14 extra. it also gives you a choice of cases if, like me, you dont really like the look of the case.
i was assuming you already had the case though (i posted before your edit) which is why i havent included it in my recommendation, but i would suggest the corsair 600T, corsair 650D, silverstone raven (any one is fine) or the coolermaster HAF X, with the 650D being a great if your considering watercooling, and the raven being the best air cooler (but rubbish with anything more than those fully contained watercoolers like the H80

Sorry dfour didn't see your post until now. Yeah I saw the corsair ram and switched it, and after thinking about it I might go for a 580. Because 1080p is enough for me, and a 580 will handle that easily with the option to get another. Seems to make more sense. Plus the only reason I didn't add an SSD was because of the price and that would free me up a bit.

Really it's the same as the H80? Fair enough I'll do it your way then, and I think I'll go for the HAF X pretty hard to say no to that.

Changed the spec in original post so you can have a look, figured it would be less confusing.

wow, wow 60 for a deathadder?!?

The Qpad 5K meanwhile gone down to £42. I like it a lot (I own it). More in line with what you get price wise (still, a lil expensive). Can't fault it so far, though.

Yeah, I'm sure I've seen the Deathadder for around £45 might just have to get it somewhere other than OCUK . Always good to have options though.

yep. coolit make the unit minus the fans, then corsair cross out the coolit logo and write corsair in crayon. they also add a couple of their own (pretty rubbish) fans and sell it on. OcUK has bought the unit directly from coolit to get rid of the middle man. they also paired it with a couple of nice fans

the lower end OcUK cooler is the corsair H60 (which seems to have vanished from the OcUK shelves. the one ive linked to is the H80 though, the H60 was called the H2flo, not the H2flo extreme)

Unless things have changed you can't buy items on special offer on finance.

This would apply to Gainward GTX 570 on This Week Only and any other products on offer.
