Guys/Gals,

I've been asked to spec a machine for a mate, just the base unit. Looking to play modern titles at max settings at lowish res (1680x1050 i suspect). No overclocking at all i'm afraid :(. No xfire/sli nor the need for it in the future. Ideally i'd like to keep it below £650. My proposed build is below (windows has been sourced already). Ideally i would have like to have gotten an 80GB SSD in there maybe with a smaller HDD. Thoughts anyone?

Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti DirectCU II TOP 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **Supplied with FREE Batman: Arkham City PC game** £175.99

Intel Core i5-2400 3.10GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £151.99

Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £79.98

Corsair Builder Series CX 500W V2 '80 Plus' Power Supply (CMPSU-500CXUKV2) £52.99

Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black £50.99

Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1333C9D3B1K2/8G) £44.99

Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103SJ) £44.99

Samsung SH-S222AB/BEBE 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £17.99

Total : £622.41

I think it looks ok.

I'm not sure about the PSU though, as usually you would need 550-650W for something like this, but being a lower end system it may be ok...
