It's all a bit Reddish...
Spec attached below:

Any suggestions on things to change / potential compatibility problems?

All advice appreaciated,

Many thanks.

The Intel E7200 is overkill for a HTPC. I would swap the cpu and mobo for a AMD X2 4850e with a GA-MA78GM-S2H 780G board. Also get the 64bit version of vista.

I would stay away from compro TV cards. If you don't need analogue I would get a Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT or a Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-T 500.

Don't like AMD for multimedia work, seem to have problems - video stuttering, sound dropping. Use Intel far less problems on my current rig which is 5 years old.

That seems like a pretty reasonable idea. I' think the AMD will be more suited to the task and saves a bit of cash.

Was supposed to be the 64bit version, damn my fat fingers! :'(

Does anyone know what the stock cooler's like noise wise with the retail 4850e?

Would it be worth while replacing it with a different cooler?

If so what's the maximum size of cooler you can fit in the Antec / recommendations for this case?

Pic hopefully updated below sans Processor.
