hi guys this will be my 1st pc and first build so just want to check this RAM is ok, i will be overclocking probably a few months down the line once i got my head around all of it 1st, i will be mostly picture editing with light video editing, no gaming at all.

and my mate just came round who thinks he knows a bit about pc's he said i should go for lower then 2666 on the ram as i will never use it and suggested kingston as a great make, he suggested this ram
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-113-KS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=2426

i just dont know what to think, i was happy with the full oc list but every time my mate comes round he spouts about my list and what he would change then im left puzzled :(

he done the same with the PSU but i will make another thread about that in the PSU topic lol :(

:D

im not looking at any GPU as of yet, my bank is going to be crying for a good few months after this buy :( the mrs only thinks im paying £400 for the build lol, i know some picture and video editing do run better with a GPU but for now i think ill see how i get on with the onboard

thanks for the psu suggestions also, i just made this topic in the hardware section as i cant find the psu section
http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18540827

so them 2 psu's would they do the job nicely? my friend also suggested corsair and modular psu to match the case for fitting purposes, but im not listening to him any more :( what would you think would be the best psu for under £100 for my build and to future proof me.... it really is the last choice now i have to confirm :) do u think i should go modular?

i wont be over clocking for ages probably and if the pc runs nice without overclocking i probably wont need to right..... surely if i got this 2666mhz ram it can run lower and more efficient right? what ram would you suggest to compliment my build, im kind of wishing i didnt ask or my mate didnt come round as i was excited about having a finished list now its getting more and more unfinished :(

so it makes sense if the 2666mhz is the same price as the 1600, so i can run the 2666mhz at a lower speed, and still have the option to run higher once i get more experienced in the future, thanks a lot buddy, and thats good the high profile will not be of any concern with the cpu cooler as i can just move the fan from front to back, that would be easy right? unscrew a few screws and move to the opposite end of the cooler right? thats what ive got in my brain, just want to make sure lol

edit, thanks tepic just seen your post, so i can just run the 2666mhz ram say at 2133mhz :) sorry for all the posts just trying to get my head around so many things and ive not even ordered anything yet

I thought you had the 2133mhz version of that ram, some other cheaper options which are low profile:

they both look very nice, i could close my eyes and choose one tho as i really dont know what would be best, i suppose any thing is going to be miles ahead for me as my 1st pc as im use to 1gb ram notepads that freeze if i try to watch a youtube video, i dont mind upping the budget to £100 for ram and £100 for psu, but if i picked one it would just be on looks :( sorry im a pain in the butt arnt i :(

you guys have lost me in them last 3 posts lol, that means absolutely nothing to me lol, remember i am the biggest noob on here lol, its so much to get my head around and ive not even got one component yet, ive been reading loads i just need to start building it and doing some hands on learning as there is only so much reading i can take in without any form of pc in front of me :(
