Upgrade help

Hi guys,

I've been reading a lot of the forum in the last 3-4 days, and its been helping a lot with choices of componants.

If possible i'd like to show you my current system and the one i'll be upgrading to (hopefully) soon, if you could please review what i've short listed and post any comments it would be much appreciated. My budget is around £1000.

Current system:

AMD 64bit 3500+ (not OC'd)
3Gb DDR Geil PC3200 (2x 1gb and 2x512mb)
120Gb HDD (2x maxtor's)
Asus A8V-Deluxe
128mbNvidia 6800GT (AGP) (Not OC'd)
I-Cute case

Upgrading too:

Intel Conroe 6400
2Gb DDR2 Corsair XMS2-6400C5
500g HDD (2x West Dig 250Gb SE16's)
Not decided
512mb ATI Radeon X1900XT
Antec P-180

If possible could someone please advise me on a very good HSF, Motherboard (with Xfire) and wether or not i should wait for a DX10 card or not.

Also what speeds OC'd could i push the conroe 6400 to without having trouble and with the x1900xt?

Thanks a lot.

Tom

Hmm, that would be the best idea, BUT if you do want to lower the price, i can have another look for you. But that Freezer 7 is the best HSF IIRC.

Thanks for the information.

I've been looking at the Tower and Ninja a lot too, any comments on that?

The Ninja i know is a good HSF. But from many people, ive heard the Freezer 7 is the best (but you may want to have a check on the CPU/Fan section)

Thanks a lot for the information.

I really wanted another Asus motherboard since i find there build quality and performance very good.

The freezer 7 i've been recommended by friends but i was a little bit confused from reading peoples comments on other HSF's.

Would you know the speed i could push the 6400 conroe too without having trouble?

Thanks
