OK guys, my MacBook Pro is making way for a new rig.
Emphasis is on general speed (multi tasking/encoding etc.) and a bit of gaming, but when i do game i like it to be good. I am considering crossfire in the future but for multi monitor support rather than boosted gaming.

Here we go....

Plus a Corsair 620w modular and antec p182. Sorry ocuk its a good 30 quid cheaper elsewhere for those!

HDDs are for raid, i already have 2x500gb and 1x1tb for storage, hence the extra sata cables. No idea how many come with the P5Q.

Comments?

So 2xSpinpoints in RAID 0 or one 640gb F1? Will be used only for OS/Games/Apps.

Tbh 2x160gb drives would be more than enough in RAID, any worth it?

Any particular reason for the Retail CPU and extra cooler? You could buy the OEM and save a bit of cash, it does have a shorter warranty (1 year vs 3 years) but that doesn't matter if overclocking.

An X38 based motherboard might be better if you are considering Crossfire as they are out now and operate at a full 16x for both slots.

Yeah ive just noticed the OEM this week only and swapped it.

My other choice was the DFI X38 board, but im not sure. Just something i prefer about the P45.
