It's all compatible, but you won't need that SATA cable, you'll get some with the motherboard. The Scythe ninja hs comes with a 120mm fan so no worries there. The PSU will have the connectors you need, plus, if you don;t use some of them, you can pull them out because it's a modular PSU. Saves space in the case, making it tidier and air flow will be better. :)

Couple of questions. Will the psu have all the connectors i need for the mobo? Does the hs not need a fan/can one be fitted/which one. 160g is plenty for what i do.

Personally if it were me.... I would swap out the Asus mobo for the Gigabyte DS3 or DS4, change the ram for Corsair PC6400 C4 or C5 & HDD for Seagate.

I'll have a look at the seagates. I was also trying to stay away from the gigabite boards cos of their fussy memory controller. I've heard ocuk have asus's with the new compatible bios and am just waiting to hear from them.
Any other resaon to stay away from the asus?

ok i see the corsair stuff is about the same price as the stuff i specced. Will it run any different or is it just about quality of component?

If you're gonna get the DS3/DS4 then you can either stick with the G.Skill HZ kit or get the Corsair XMS2 C4/C5. The HZ overclocks really well though. Both are great kits.

right so a ds3 and the hz stuff is ok?
Thinking this could save me a bit of cash ( £60 ish)

Yep it works. I saved even more money by getting the Corsair C5, fair enough it doesn't overclock as well as the HZ but I'm not big on lots of overclocking.

ok ordered as per 1st post. If anyone sees something majorly wrong feel free NOT to contact me straight away cos i'm on a 'new gear high'
Regards
