Evening people,
I'm looking to upgrade my old Q6600 rig,and i thought it'd be nice to downsize a little.
Rig will be mainly used for gaming, and general pc usage,so no rendering etc.
Budget is 900-ish can stretch a little more if worth it,and I'm an Nvidia man,so if there's any better bang for buck Nvidia cards, let me know!
So far,I've got:
YOUR BASKET
1 x KFA2 GeForce GTX 760 HOF 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (76NPH6DT8KXZ) £215.99
1 x Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor - OEM £179.99
1 x Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW) £109.99
1 x MSI Z97I AC Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Mini ITX Motherboard £94.99
1 x Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX24C11T3K2/8X) £79.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H80i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler £74.99
1 x BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX Cube Case - Midnight Black £64.99

Total : £893.90 (includes shipping : ).

What do you think?

Oh and by the way,my monitor is a 24 inch at 1080p,and that's not likely to change, does that make a difference on the graphics card?(Sorry for the probably dumb questions, but i am well and truly out of the loop when it comes to pc hardware).

Are you dead set on that case then?

Its just i changed the case to (something nicer IMO) so i could fit a better and cheaper cooler in.

The motherbhoard bundle is a great choice. The 280X is a good card, though the XFX's may have some VRM cooling issues...

SSD choice is upto you but i think the extra £25 is a bit steep, though the EVO is a great choice.

Not a huge advocate of BitFenix fans myself.

The 280X is better than the GTX 760 (even though that HOF was a great model).

And that spec looks fine.

Could add a 3-pin-to-molex adapter so that you don't need to run the 120mm case fan from the motherboard and can do it straight from the power supply instead. Less clutter above the mobo, also sometimes mobo fan headers don't provide full power.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Akasa AK-CB423-ADPT 4 - 3pin adapter cable (AK-CB423-ADPT) £1.99

The case brings 2 x 120mm which are very quiet on full 12v, but you'll only be able to use one of them since you'll have the 230mm and the H80i, and you'll be using the optical bay (which blocks one 120mm mount). So that single adapter would do.

The 230mm fan can be run with its included 7v molex adapter (found it to be ideal for me as on 12v it's a bit noisy).

I don't see the need for the adapter cable, the mobo header should provide full power and possibly allow you to control the speed of the fan using varying voltage.

Ok,cheers guys, adapter cable is out,and im gonna pull the trigger on this at the weekend(working till then),thanks all for your help
