Hey guys,
I'm sorry, I know these are posted all the time. But just wanted some more knowledgeable tech heads to check out my build.

I'll be using it for gaming, BF3, Arma 2 (3 when it comes out), Crysis 2 (again 3 when it comes out.

Can you think of any changes? The only thing I'm worried about is the power supply, will it suffice?

All looking good :D
Assuming you have an DVD drive already?

True,

Just to make sure, you dead set on that case?

Could save yourself a few £'s by going with one fo these:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Cooler Master CM-690 II Lite Windowed Gaming Tower Case - Black £69.98
1 x Corsair Carbide 300R Mid Tower Windowed Case - Black £69.98
1 x BitFenix Shinobi USB3.0 Gaming Windowed Case - Black £59.99

The NZXT is still a great case but just thought i'd give you some options.

Thanks for all the replies.

I'm not 100% stuck on that case, but I'd prefer to buy a case I like than buy a cheaper one, then in X amount of time think I wish I got that other case

I'm sure I'll acquire one from somewhere :) if not theyre only £15-£20 anyways

Looks good really.

I prefer the True Spirit 120 over the Hyper 212 Evo.

I'd spend a little less on the case and a little more on the PSU.

Whats wrong with that one? Which one would you recommend?

Not modular I suppose, a little short on power. However it will run the 7850 easily, but anything bigger (7950), I would get at least a 500W (40A+ @ 12V) PSU.

Thanks for the input tamzzy.

I think I'm going to go for this:

1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £184.99

1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £89.99
1 x PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk III Series 500W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply - White £59.99
1 x Patriot Viper "Black Mamba" Generation 3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (PV38G160C9K) £26.99
1 x Thermalright True Spirit 120 REV A CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/1155/1156/AM2/AM3/FM1) £24.98
Total : £680.41 (includes shipping : £11.25).

I'd rather get a nicer case, then maybe upgrade graphics card in a year or so.

Would it be worth spending the extra bit on that power supply guys?

Thanks for all your help, really appreciate it!

Thanks Olivier, as you'll see in my last post, I think I'm going to go for the modular 500W, A because its modular and will tidy things up in my case, and B because I'll probably upgrade in a year or so to a better GPU

Keep in mind that the PSU has 38A@12V. Which means, it's effectively a 450W PSU, albeit a good one.

The 600W version has 46A (550W), so I would be much more comfortable with that to power a hungry GPU (7970, 680).

Both are good units, and seasonic (S12II) designs. And good choice on the R4 :)

I would put my trust in a Seasonic G-550 (Gold rated, overspecced to 600W+, DC-DC regulation), but it's yet more money. The PCP&C 600W should do nicely.

Sorry guys, keep changing my mind! I think I'm going to stick with the XFX 450W power supply for now as its a lot cheaper. Will that still be alright when overclocking?

Thanks for all your help!
