Hey guys,
Been planning out a purchase as I want to get back into PC gaming.
I've been using a laptop as my main machine as my old gaming rig is, well, old. AMD Athlon 3200+ 32bit, 512mb RAM, Geforce 5800 Ultra, etc. 'nuff said.
Done quite a bit of research and I'm considering this (I have £1000'ish to spend):
Samsung SM-2443BW 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black
(£234.99)
Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4870 1024MB GDDR5 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail
(£211.49)
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 3.00GHz (1333FSB) - Retail
(£137.46)
Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-620HXUK)
(£96.34)
Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3 Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
(£93.99)
G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PK PC2-8500C5 (2x2GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK)
(£72.84)

Have I missed anything out? Anything you'd change? I have my heart set on that mouse and monitor so that's non negotiable, and I'd rather stick to Microsoft for both the keyboard and mouse (I have had good experiences with them). I'd also like to stick to WD HDD's for the same reason. I'm unsure about dual or quad core though, should I pay a few quid extra and get a Q6600 or Q8200?
Any input extremely welcome.
PS: Oh yeah, this is primarilly for gaming.
