THe ATI Radeon X1900 XT-X BLIZZARD 512MB doesnt take up any more space than a standard X1900 XT-X, just does it in a different way.

All should be fine.

BTW the THe ATI Radeon X1900 XT-X BLIZZARD 512MB is one awesome card. Thats gonna be one nice rig.

Welcome to the forums, I can't see any obvious problems with any of the parts although the Crossfire motherboards have been getting a bit of stick for having a few issues, hopefully it is just 'teething problems' though. The Plextor DVDRW is also rather expensive but I suppose it is technically the fastest on the market :)

IMO definitely avoid the Crossfire mobo's, they seem to be bug ridden and have a lot of RMA's (personally I would get the DFI nF4 Ultra-D)

Plus I would also ditch the Raptor, they're overhyped and overly expensive. A better option would be raiding SATA2 drives. Get 4 x 120gb Hitachi Deskstar's and put them in RAid0+1 = Faster, cheaper and more reliable than a raptor!

Unless you're running a sound studio or are buying for a particular use then the standard onboard 5.1 surround is plenty good enough, why waste you're money on an extra soundcard. Plus IMO 2.1 speakers sound much better than these 5.1 and 7.1 kits!

I'm new to this type of thing, so if anybody has any tips/suggestions or even if you think you could spec a better rig please feel free to do so, I have a budget of £2000, don't need a Monitor that's going to be a separate purchase from this spec. Going for the Dell Ultrasharp 2405FPW 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor :D Thanks!!!

Don't get the 4200 or the 4800 if your going with an X2, its best to get the 3800 and clock it to the same speed as the 4800 for a lot less then the price of the 4800 or 4400.
However if you want the same cache as the 4800 then get the 4400 and clock that to the same speed insted, either way the 3800 and 4400 are both very powerfull cpus, especially in the right hands.

Thanks Traducer for your input,

I'm still up for anybody that can spec me a better machine or improve my originally spec, as I'm a bit paranoid about screwing this up as it's my first time building a machine, and want best value for money, I'll be ordering soon so any other suggestions/tips would be appreciated.

Also getting seconds thoughts on the Blizzard GFX, I been reading that it takes up 3 slots!! is this going to cause me problems plus its not out until end of April, don't know if I can wait that long, so any suggestions on alternative cards would really help me.

Sorry if I seem to be going on a bit, but need to get this right first time.
