I'm building a simple system for my mate with a budget of £375. Here is what I have come up with. Would appreciate any advice/changes. He wants the computer for a little bit of everything, and doesnt need a GFX card as he already has hold of a 6600GT.

Intel Pentium 4 820 Dual Core "LGA775 Smithfield" 2.8GHz (800FSB) - Retail

MSI 965P NEO (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX21GB6400UDC)

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 200GB ST3200820AS SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM

Pioneer DVR-111BK 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter - (Black) OEM

Antec NSK4400 Mini Tower Case - 380W SmartPower PSU

Thanks in advance.

with that kinda budget would go something like this, the amd cpu will b much better than that intel, intels cpu's lacked behind amd till they released the new conroes

pS! soz, scrub the mobo as that psu wont work wel or @ all with that mobo

The memory I have chosen wont work with that board either, as that board only supports up to 667Mhz DDR-II
