a friends wants a dx10 card as cheap as possible, only needs ram, cpu, gfx card and psu. He got a ide hard drve that he wants to keep.


the best i can do is:

Its probobly a better motherboard if you only need the one IDE slot very good for overclocking with c2ds.

Having said that Jaffa that Asus P5N-E SLi nForce 650 is pretty dam niffity when it comes to overclocking. :D

And as BillytheImpaler said, if he is overclocking which it seems to me he is, i would suggest buying a cooler, the stock fan isn't all that clever. :)

That too is a great mobo but I'd rather have the P5N-E at this point. They overclock about equally, feature similar SATA and I/O connectivity, and are both very stable. I'd take the Asus because it's an SLi board. Since he's getting an nVidia card he'd have the option of adding another down the line for more performance.
